Several comments on another board talked about a rumour that NH will discontinue parts support for pre-63 tractors. If true, it doesn't sound like it would affect myself, or many people who use this board. However, I'm wondering since I do have a mid-80's Ford. One of the comments said that lack of NH support might not affect much. NH, itself, doesn't manufacture these parts. The actual manufactures should continue to make the parts as long as a market remains. Even so, that would seem to place a huge or impossible burden on dealers or owners to keep track of a whole flock of manufacturers and what they supply. I seem to recall posting something awhile back about corporate mergers and the possible loss of corporate enthusiasm for the original products. I hope this isn't the leading edge of the wedge. Just wondering if anybody else has heard this rumour.

I have not heard anything,but that is one of the reasons I bought a John Deere last year,even though I like the looks of New Holland.I did not know what the outcome of the merger would be. ....

Having been a manager at a new holland dealership for many years I can tell you this. A lot of the parts volume new holland does is on these older model tractors. I do not see parts support for these tractors going away anytime soon. These are some of the best selling parts they have. ....
